Seoul-based 3i, an immersive experience startup focusing on metaverse tech, AI, and AR/VR, raises ~$24M Series A led by SV Investment (FinSMEs)
A Seoul, South Korean immersive experience company specializing in metaverse technology such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality.Series A funding totaled more than $24 million (W28 billion).
The round comprised $20 million from new strategic and financial investors and $4 million from existing investors. The Korean Development Bank, LB Investment, DS Asset, YG Investment, Intops Investment, Enlight Ventures, NBH Capital, and Korea Asset Investment Securities all participated.
The company is planning to make use of the funds to create new products, expand its metaverse platform, grow with a variety of vacant roles in recruitment marketing, customer service, marketing design, and engineering, and make significant investments to improve the experience of brands in the coming year.
In 2017, 3i was founded and is led by Ken Kim, CEO. 3i is the owner of 34 patents in technology and two brands:
