Opera has begun the iOS version The company’s Crypto Browser is specifically designed to allow access to Web3 and the ability to use a crypto wallet that isn’t custodial.
This browser was initially accessible to users of Windows, Mac OS, and Android devices.
Opera claims to have created this browser to appeal to people who are familiar with crypto and are also newcomers. The built-in cryptocurrency wallet is compatible with Ethereum, Polygon, and Celo Blockchain technologies, and Opera intends to incorporate more ecosystems. Users can buy crypto with fiat currency, exchange it for other currencies, and also send and receive tokens. Users can also incorporate their existing crypto wallets, as long as they’re compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, into the built-in wallet of the browser.
It is also possible to download the Crypto Browser app, which comes with an additional feature called Crypto Corner, which rounds up the latest news and details about crypto and crypto-related events as well as airdrops and podcasts to keep users current with the latest technology.
One of the goals that the Crypto Browser has is to make the navigation of Web 3 as simple as Web 2, says Opera. Through this Crypto Browser, users will be able to use Web3 NFTs as well as applications that are decentralized, such as Polygon-supported services that support 7,000.
“The fascination with Web3 continues to grow,” Jorgen Arnesen, the executive vice-president of Mobile at Opera, said in an announcement. “Opera Crypto Browser Project Opera Crypto Browser Project was created for the purpose of simplifying user experience Web3 customer experience. It could be complicated for people who use the Web3 platform in mainstream settings.. Opera believes that “Web3 must be simple to use to maximise its potential and achieve widespread acceptance.”
The browser comes with security tools such as an advertisement monitor, pop-up blockers, and cookie dialogue blockers. The browser also provides crypto-mining protection to stop cryptojacking programs.
To address concerns regarding the environment arising from the use of energy by Blockchain, Opera stated that they were working on the integration of Ethereum Layer 2 solutions, which are intended to lessen the environmental impact of this technology. Then, in February of this year, Opera revealed that it had implemented layer 2 for its Crypto Browser Android app. The iOS app also uses Layer 2 technology.
Update, 15 April 11:24 AM EST The article was revised to include the fact that Ethereum Level 2 is part of this iOS Crypto Browser app.
