Mutual UFO Network Issues Statement about UAP Hearing

CINCINNATI, MAY 24, 2022 (Newswire.com).MUFON, Mutual UFO Network, congratulates the members of the United States House of Representatives and, in particular, the House Intelligence Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence and Counterproliferation Subcommittee (C3) for holding a hearing about Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. MUFON’s mission is to scientifically study UFOs and UAP to benefit humanity. MUFON has been around since 1969, making it the longest-serving organization in its field. MUFON, as an organization has been investigating UAP sightings for a long time and has accumulated the crucial data necessary to educate the public about the UAP phenomenon.

MUFON Executive Director David MacDonald stated that Congress has taken a crucial first step in sharing what is known. We know there are many unanswered queries because of our vast knowledge and extensive database of sightings. We hope Congress and the Department of Defense will continue to communicate with the American people. MUFON is ready to help the government in whatever capacity.

MUFON receives more than 10,000 reports per year and has a 92% rate of being able explain sightings.

Discussions about UAPs have become mainstream after many years of being taboo. This hearing, which took place on May 17, was the first Congressional hearing after a 1969 push by Gerald Ford (then-Congressman) that resulted in an Air Force report. MUFON spoke with many Congressional officials in advance of the hearing to provide information and answers to any questions that they may have about UAPs. MUFON has worked closely with Congress since its inception. MUFON information has been invaluable for many years in the unfolding of disclosure. Harry Reid was convinced to fund the AATIP program by using information from MUFON.

MUFON’s 1,100 volunteers across the country and 46 international chapters, which have 4,600 members worldwide, tuned in to see the hearings. The UAP conversation is now mainstream. A bipartisan effort of greater importance is required to push for better legislation, and more detailed information to be made available to the public. MUFON is ready to help the federal government with UFO sightings as well as the best way to gather and manage the data. Visit www.MUFON.com for more information.
