Paint.net can fix blurry photos on your PC
Paint.net is a special software that PC users have access to. Paint.net, like the other methods, is free and easy to use. It’s great for blurring your photos. You will first need to download the editing program .
Paint.net offers a few tricks to help me improve my photography skills. One of these is the ability to sharpen out-of-focus images.
- Open Paint.net, and select the image that you wish to edit.
- Choose Effects, Photo, and then Sharpen.
- To sharpen an image, use the slider. To sharpen, slide from left to right.
- Select the best level and click OK.
- Save the image.
It will take some sliding to get to the right level. But you’ll know it once you see it. If you go too far, the image will become blurred and may even disappear in color. Your image will be slightly blurry if you don’t go too far.
Blur the background while keeping the subject sharp in paint.net
Sometimes, blurring images can be a great idea. Blurring the background can make the subject stand out, and can create a beautiful artistic effect. This means that the focal point of an image is the subject. You want it to be sharp, while the background blurred.
- Open Paint.net, and select the image that you wish to edit.
- To select all, press Ctrl+ A
- To copy all, press Ctrl+C.
- To paste the entire file into a new Layer, press Ctrl + Shift+ V. In the bottom right corner, you should see Layer 1 (or Background), and Layer 2 appear.
- Choose the eraser from left’s tools menu.
- To cover the subject of an image, increase the brush width.
- To deselect Layer 1 or Background, click the small checkbox.
- Use smooth erasing movements to erase the subject. This will leave you with a gray-white box. It’s okay.
- To select Layer 1 or Background, click the small checkbox next to it. Now, the subject should return.
- Choose Effects, Blur, and Gaussian Blur.
- You can adjust the blur level using the slider and see how much you have covered.
It will take some experimentation to capture the subject, and add enough blurred detail to the image to make the subject stand out.
Tips to take sharper photos
Image editing tools can be very effective at what they do but they don’t work like magic. As photographers, we have a responsibility to ensure that our shots are sharp. These are some tips that I learned from a friend who is a professional photographer to take sharper photos.
Properly hold the phone/camera.
Shallow pictures can be caused by camera shake. You can hold the camera with both your hands and support yourself against something, such as a tree or wall. Then, do what you can to stay still. A tripod would be ideal, but it isn’t always possible.
Shutter speed
The correct shutter speed can make a big difference in the quality of your photos if you have a camera, and not a smartphone. Blurred photos are less likely to occur if the shutter speed is faster.
Aperture
You will need to increase your aperture if you are using a fast shutter speed. You can experiment to find the right balance between aperture and shutter speed for your style.
Image stabilization
Image stabilization is a feature that many newer cameras and standalone cameras have. It helps to reduce camera shake. You will have to experiment with this feature as there are compromises.
Focus
The focus can have a significant impact on blurred images. Autofocus is fantastic, but not perfect. If you can’t get the focus right away, give the camera another second. Then, take the shot.
