How to access iCloud from your Android Phone

You can still access iCloud even if your iPhone is lost.

What to Know

  • Access iCloud Photo: Sign into iCloud using any mobile browser. Tap Photos.
  • Access iCloud email: Open and tap menu > settings. Tap Create account > . Enter your iCloud login information .
  • Access iCloud Calendar/Contacts. To transfer data from iCloud into Android, you’ll need an iPhone/iPad and a computer.

Accessing iCloud Photos from an Android

Sign in from a mobile browser to access your iCloud photos. You can view every image that you have saved to iCloud by tapping Photos,.

You can also create iCloud Links for sharing photos and video, view albums and access account settings.

If you have an iPhone, another option is to download Google Photos for iOS, and sync your photos there. Similar to iCloud photos, you can also work with your photos there.

The upload of your photos to Google Photos via the iOS app might take some time depending on how many photos you have.

Accessing iCloud Email

You can access your messages from the iCloud Inbox if you have an Apple email account, such as @mac or @me. Set this up on an Android smartphone using Gmail.

  1. Open Gmail by tapping the menu button at the upper-left corner.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Create an account > Additional.
  4. Follow the prompts for your iCloud password and email address. The process is completed by Gmail. You can then access your iCloud mailbox.

Accessing iCloud Contacts and Calendars from an Android

It’s not possible to access your iCloud contacts or calendar on Android. To transfer data, you will need an iPhone/iPad and a computer.

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap iCloud.
  4. You can toggle between Contacts or Calendars.
    If you are not signed in, you might have to sign in first to your iCloud Account.
  5. Open a web browser on your computer. Go to www.icloud.com and log in.
  6. Click on the Calendar Icon.
  7. Click the Share calendar button in the left pane next to the calendar you wish to export. Select Public Calendar in the pop-up window. Click Copy, then OK.
  8. Copy the URL to a new tab or window in your browser.
  9. To change webcal to , press Enter. This will open the Save File dialog box. Save the file to a folder you choose. It can be renamed as long as the extension.ics is not changed.
  10. Log in to Google Calendar from your web browser.
  11. Click the menu arrow to the right of Other Calendars in the left pane. Click Import.
  12. Select the downloaded calendar file from iCloud. If you have more than one Google calendar, you can choose to open the dialog and select the destination Google Calendar.
  13. To upload the file, click the Import link.
  14. After import is complete, you will be able see imported entries on the Google Calendar web interface as well as on your Android device.
