12 Healthy Lunch Ideas to Lose Weight
To help you lose weight, I am sharing 12 healthy packed lunches. Half of each balanced lunch contains vegetables, 1/4 protein, and 1/4 carbohydrates.
My packable lunches differ slightly from the weight loss meals that I ate throughout summer (you can view those healthy meals right here!). These lunches follow my plate diet, except that instead of dividing the grains and fruits into separate categories, I have been eating 1/4 of the meal carbohydrates. So I can choose between a cereal or a fruit.

The Macro Plate is a great option for weight loss. It includes half your meal of vegetables. For weight maintenance, I use Myplate meal planning method. and get some extra carbs!
Instead, I have been using meal prep containers that I bought at Walmart for $3.46 each. They have the best seal and my dressing doesn’t leak into the other compartments. Here are more portions of lunch boxes
If there isn’t a Walmart near you, you can also order red containers from Amazon. But, they are not as impressive. The dressing can leak into the other compartment. These will not work if you have liquids inside.
This fall, I began grad school. I have been taking my lunch to school every day and sharing it on my stories.
